Bass Campus "Wub-Wub-Wubs" UDel

This weekend our lovely campus played host to a variety of different special events, but one in particular stood out among all the rest:

If you couldn't make it, you missed out on quite a bit. Organized by the techno appreciation club Deltronica, the group somehow found a way to keep attendants occupied for the entire day. Engaging in more than just nerdy music, people came from all over UD to participate in face painting, art exhibits, yoga sessions, tie-dying, and the all time favorite?

You guessed it, hoola hooping!... or maybe it was the water slide? Both were really fun. As you can see, even hippies with little to no interest in the electronica scene still had a grand time! For those who were however, there this strange new type of live music being played called the "Silent Disco". Audience members donned high-end wireless headphones given to them by the DJs and an entire crowd would dance to the same live mix being played. Can you imagine what that looks like? Something close to this:

This extravaganza of awesomeness yielded thousands of guests by the end of the night and everyone had a super duper time. Everyone that is, except for people trying to study in their dorms on Laird campus that day. "I don't get why they can't do stuff like this on the Green. It's so damn loud, none of us can study let alone sleep if we wanted to." clamored an agitated sophomore James Smith resident. "I've got nursing tests coming up, I'm pretty sure everyone's got something they've got to study for this week." The party poopers decided to pack their things and head to Club Morris, but when I told them the Green was also hosting loud events that day, they gave up and joined the crowd. You know what they say,
If you can't beat em...
... dubstep!

Just kidding, I don't even like dubstep.
