The Black Sheep Online

An underground college news website has been garnering quite a bit of attention lately. 

Networking across several different campuses nation-wide, the website is run by students and is currently offering work positions for undergrads.  In fact, you may recognize some of the authors! The Black Sheep online plays quite a bit on humor while still delivering editorials and updates on current events. In fact, you may recognize some of the authors!

Be sure to check it out, you're bound to laugh at the Newark-related humor. Having applied there for a job myself, you may soon many read re-blogged articles written by me!

Adult Swim Carnival Aftermath

TV Ads have begun to air on the Adult Swim network which exclusively feature UD!

In case you missed it a couple weeks ago, a carnival very unlike any other swarmed the campus. Having had the luck of being able to work there, the Coop's got the scoop on the official numbers:

According to event coordinator, Sarah Couyoumjian, the expected number of attendance was slated at around 1,000 to 1,500, tops. What really happened?

"... this is unbelievable - we had no idea it would be this successful. Our numbers are saying there almost 3,000 people came through." she shouted to me over the blast of the bass.

Now, under the tag "Minds were lost in Delaware, is your town next?", Adult Swim markets the carnival to the rest of the country.

UD set the standard for the hardest partiers once again. Bravo Bluehens, bravo.

What has the world come to...

UDance: Major Success!

The UDance marathon held March 11 turned out to be a giant success! Over $450,000 dollars was raised and donated toward helping aid medical research teams in their goal to treat kids with debilitating cancer.

Our heroes have hope once again and their world has become brighter thanks to people like you for donating. 

Russel Dining Hall: Unsafe?

Did you all get those emails about Russel dining hall being evacuated?

We did too. It's crazy how the powers that be sit around and deliberate whether something is important enough to send to our phones via SMS or if they should just email us...

In any case, it turns out that the entire thing was just over a simple bomb note found by maintenance crews. Though it turned out that there was no bomb in the building (duh), it still managed to get everyone rushed out with no dessert.

Call me crazy, but I've always thought shady people left bomb notes in buildings specifically to move people out of it... not because there was actually ever a bomb there. At all.

No complaints from any of the student body however, "What do I care? The weather is so great, they didn't need to tell me twice to go outside." says freshman Eric Komar.

Thank goodness there wasn't actually a bomb, that would have ruined a perfectly nice day!
